Dometic Marine Supplies High Spec Air Conditioning System to Turkish Market

Dometic Marine, the world leader in marine air conditioning, has recently delivered its highest specification of air conditioning system to the Turkish market, to Superyacht Builder RMK Marine. The 600,000 BTU system has been custom designed and built by Dometic Marine Engineers in accordance with the specific owner's representative requirements for an RMK Marine 45 metre yacht.

The custom built air conditioning system incorporates a 600,000 BTU chiller plant, WhisperCool air handlers, Variable Frequency Drives, Fully Networked Cabin Controllers and a Marine Air chilled water master controller. Having successfully delivered the system, Dometic Marine's engineers will assist RMK Marine during the layout and installation.  They will also commission the project at the end of the installation process, expected Spring 2010, to verify the system and ensure that all equipment meets the exacting Dometic installation standard.

"Our latest project with RMK Marine is an excellent example of our capability to customize solutions to meet specific OEM requirement. We were issued very detailed requirements from the owner's representative in terms of providing a very quiet system and power management controls so that air conditioning would not effect other appliances onboard. I am delighted that our experienced engineers satisfied the client by coming up with the highest specification system we have supplied to the Turkish market," comments Paul Hickinbotham, Director of Sales & Operations, Dometic Marine UK.

He continued, "The importance of Turkey as a superyacht build centre is well recognised and as its yards grow, so they need quality equipment suppliers with professional expertise and quality reputations to support that growth.  Enquiries and sales for Dometic's superyacht components and services in this area are increasing over and above our expectations and we are supported by Arti Marin, a well-established and experienced distributor in the country."

Based in Tuzla, Turkey, RMK Marine is renowned worldwide for the build, refit and repair of prestigious Superyachts including 'Private Lives', 'Cornelia', 'Jasmin' and 'Caressa K'. Dometic Marine has a long history with RMK Marine, having supplied air conditioning systems to the superyacht builder for over a decade.
