Dometic Marine has launched its hotel range of reputable proSafe safes to the European marine leisure and superyacht markets. With high quality security features already proven in the demanding International hotel market, entry level Dometic proSafes are available for the boat owner from just £163 excluding VAT (UK RRP).
Four of the most popular proSafe models are currently available through Dometic's marine distribution and dealer network, although a more extensive and bespoke range is available on demand. Featuring laser-cut doors to provide tight tolerance between door and frames and two 18mm steel pivots, Dometic's proSafe range provides exceptional security.
The safes have been designed for DIY installation or professional retrofit and can be installed vertically or horizontally depending on customer's preference or the available space. The safes are typically installed out of view, for instance at the bottom of a cabin wardrobe, under beds or seating and are fixed in place by screwing or bolting to the floor or bulkhead.
The standard proSafe marine range has two closure options - a mechanical locking system using a traditional key or individual computerised numerical code operation via keypad. The keypad closure allows multiple access once the four-digit number is shared so is ideally suited to families, shared ownership vessels or superyacht charter operations. The factory default security access number can be changed by safe owner and by individual users as often as required to maintain the highest level of security. Dometic is able to provide unlocking codes or replace keys in the event they are lost by the safe owner.
Within the standard marine proSafe range two sizes of safe are available - compact or laptop. The custom proSafe range offers innovative features including integrated socket to allow continual charging of electrical products such as laptop and mobile phones even when the safe is secured shut. Installation of the charging feature requires wiring to the yacht's power system.
