China Maritime Show, 16th – 18th March 2010, Booth 6, Hall 5G
Dometic Marine the world leading supplier of marine air conditioning, sanitation systems and refrigeration equipment, presents its extensive range of products specifically designed for commercial marine, workboat and military applications at this year’s China Maritime Show. Products on display for the first time include the AT Air Handler, an ultra-quiet yet powerful brushless DC fan motor and the TWC Compact Tempering unit, a high-performance and versatile system that provides cooling and heating onboard.
“We have a wide-range of specialised air conditioning, chiller and chilled water systems available as well as robust and durable sanitation and refrigeration solutions which have been specifically designed with the commercial market in mind. On Tuesday 16th March at 15:00 hrs, we are holding a seminar at the booth, which will provide visitors with additional information on our full range of products suitable for the commercial, military and workboat markets,” comments Ben Haynes, International Technical Sales Manager, Dometic Marine.
AT-DC Air Handler
The AT Air Handler unit is available in 6000, 9,000, 12,000, 18,000, 24,000 and 36,000 BTU/hr capacity and meets the needs of vessel operators looking for small, compact units. The unit is an addition to the ABL, ATL and ATV air handlers for narrow spaces, and together they provide the widest range of cabin climate-control solutions for vessels operating Marine Air and Cruisair® chilled-water air conditioning systems.
The AT air handler’s coil design provides improved dehumidification and cooling, with more accessible maintenance points and larger drain connections. Six models range from 6,000 to 36,000 BTU/hr capacity and feature a powerful, yet quiet DC blower that can be configured to fit any space. Furthermore, with the inclusion of an electric heater, the AT can supply heat to its own area, even if the chiller unit is supplying cool air to other handlers.
As with all Dometic air handlers, the AT contains a foam-lined, anti-slosh, anti-fungal condensate drain pan and uses corrosion-resistant materials. To help reduce noise and secondary condensation, insulating foam covers the condensate drain pan, blower housing, shroud and coil end.
Cruisair® Compact Tempering Units
Featuring an enclosed and compact design, the Cruisair® TWC units are high performance and cost effective systems, ranging from 24,000 to 72,000 BTU/hr. The versatile, enclosed, ‘box’ design enables the systems to be stacked in an innovative space-saving way, providing a cleaner look for vessels with space and weight limitations.
The Cruisair® TWC Compact units provide reverse-cycle tempering for cooling and heating. Each unit includes a chilled water (CW) flow switch, high and low-refrigerant pressure switches and inlet and outlet CW temperature sensors. The TWC does not include a CW modulating flow control, enabling air handlers with or without flow controls to be used. The unit features a brazed platecoil evaporator and coaxial cupronickel seawater condenser allowing for superior cooling and heating performance.
All Cruisair® TWC chillers have been engineered to use R410a environmentally safe refrigerant. Fully compliant with International green gas standards, R410a provides increased efficiency by using fewer amps per capacity. R410a is Dometic Marine’s choice for all product reengineering and new product designs because of its impressive thermodynamic properties.
Dometic Marine will also present units from its cutting-edge MasterFlush™ and VacuFlush® range of toilets as well as WAECO refrigeration solutions.
