Dometic upgrades its under-bench air conditioner and launches FreshWell FWX4

You don’t have to give up installing a RV air conditioner even if your garage ceiling is too low, or worried about weight on the roof of your vehicle. There is a solution: Under-bench air conditioner.

At Caravan Salon Düsseldorf 2024, Dometic will showcase its latest under-bench AC, the Dometic FreshWell FWX4.

Conveniently housed in the under-bench storage area in motorhomes or caravans, the Dometic FreshWell FWX4 is an efficient space-saving air conditioning solution for vehicles up to 8m in length.

The under-bench position means the vehicle's height is unaffected.

Not having outdoor unit means lighter in weight. FreshWell is one of the lightest storage box air conditioners available and significantly lighter than roof air conditioners with comparable cooling capacity.

A new feature for the new model is a room temperature sensor. This allows better temperature regulation.

The Dometic FreshWell FWX4 delivers an exceptionally low noise level and minimal vibration. Other iconic features remain, including minimal cabin noise with high performance operation and air distribution as well as soft-start for reliable start-up at campsites with low electrical protection.

The unit comes with a remote controller for convenient activation of all functions.

Capacity:

• Cooling capacity according to ISO 5151*: 2000 W / 6824 BTU/h
• Heating capacity according to ISO 5151*: Up to 2500 W / 8530 BTU/h 

* Specification based on a cooling or heating capacity tested in accordance with the ISO 5151 standard under realistic conditions instead of a theoretical maximum capacity.
